Song that I wrote about vegetarianism

There are obviously many good reasons to be a vegetarian, and I'm sure we've all heard little sayings about vegetarianism, like "If you wouldn't eat your (insert pet here), then why would you eat (beef, pork, chicken, fish, etc). For a school project, I had to create a song about something I felt strongly about, so I made it about vegetarians! And of course there's a guinea pig mentioned.

Since I can't sing it for you, just read it like a poem.

The cow went down to the farmers market,
But unfortunatly he never came back.
Oh yes, as soon as we saw him again,
He was nothing more than a Big Mac.

His friend the pig went for a trip,
He thought his friend Mr. Cow had been hidin'.
But soon he was ambushed, yes tackled him down.
Took out his intestines and stuffed him inside 'em.

The hens wanted to find their buddies,
Yes they found all these events a bit strange
But, UH OH! Then they ran into those mean meat guys,
And found themselves spread on a gas range.

The fish, though seperate from their land friends,
Decided to swim straight out of the bay,
Too bad they were captured in a tiny net,
And cut, fried, and called Fish Fillet.

So whats the point of the animals' stories?
Why must we know their unfortunate fate?
Well do you eat your guinea pig, your dog, your cat?
You might consider having only veggies on your plate!

I hope you like it! It's better as a song, but I'm sure you get the general idea!

Kids were like MEAT IS GOOD.
But I wasn't expecting to convert everyone. The vegetarians in my class loved it! I got an A :-)

I liked it! I wrote an essay for school once about vegetarianism, and everyone was like, "Oh my gosh! What the heck is WRONG with you?!? Meat is awesome!" Lol. Wierdos.
