When responding to this, please be careful that nothing is given as medical advice. Anything resembling medical advice is beyond the scope of this forum. |

Not sure what you mean? Is this in the vegetarian forum because ibuprofen contains animal products? I know some come in the forum of gelatine capsules but perhaps there are alternative brands? If you are looking for a safe alternative I would speak to either a pharmacist or a doctor. What's available as an alternative, similar painkiller isn't always suitable for every individual. |

Most medicines are tested on animals. An alternative would be to try natural or herbal rememdies. But I'd suggest talking to your doctor before beginning any new treatments. |

Yes, I think those are excellent responses and an excellent way to go, particularly since you asked about a specific type of medication. Please consult a pharmacist or your own doctor about alternative methods of pain relief if you wish to not use medications that have been tested on animals. You might also wish to investigate whether or not current medications currently contain animal ingredients and whether or not testing is still ongoing for that particular product Any other specific information is really going to be beyond the scope of this forum. Good luck in finding the information you seek. |
