I guess, too, my concern is with what kind of cell types they would have to take it from. Most cell types do not just keep growing- if they do it's called cancer. So either there would have to be some sort of cancerous cell as the base of the cell line or they would have to use stem cells. I don't know that muscle has stem cells? Maybe they do. I guess you could get bone marrow to differentiate to it, maybe... I just haven't seen a scientific source that describes the methods. Mostly because I'm too lazy to go look it up, I suppose. The technique is probably a long ways off. Skeletal muscle needs innervation and exercise to grow properly. So unless we want to eat all organs or pale veal-like meat...
In principle, though- I have no problems with it. Like I've said before I'm an opportunistic omnivore. I actually rather do like some organ meat. Intestine and stomach aren't so great (chewy) but heart and liver are good.
Ditto on the aspartame, though! That stuff makes me really ill (the digestive "volcano"? I like that term for it...) I mean, good gods- just eat sugar in moderation! How tough is that? It's like V8 low salt- I just wanted a touch less salt since regular V8 is a bit too salty. What did I get?
Na benzoate. I don't want that crap in there.

As much as I love benzene for its beautiful and interesting ring structure I'm not stupid enough to want to
eat it. Hello? Carcinogen? Have to use it under a hood in the lab? No thanks!
