Re: I just saaw that video.

It is useful. Maybe some of the vegetarian societies are lobbying food manufacturers or the government to get it introduced. You might be able to add your name to something.

We might be getting traffic lights put on food packaging too, to tell us whether we should be eating lots of something, or only having it occasionally - a bit of common sense should be enough really, but it obviously isn't considering the increasing problem we're having over here with obesity. Think we're about 10 or 15 years behind the US at the moment. Anyway, I think many people who eat loads of rubbish, know full well it's not good for them so I'm not sure how much good a red light will do!

Re: I just saaw that video.

I know one product that you could find in Safeway that says 'vegitarian', its called 'Pirate booty' and so far, I know that two are vegitarian: Fruity booty and this vegtable one. It taste kind of stale to me, but its good after a while, but having to much and you strat to hate it.

Re: I just saaw that video.

That's quite interesting, Treen. It's a very well-organized and trim society over there. I was amazed at all the walkways that are in London, to be frank. We have nothing like that here. I think that is why we have such obese people (minus the obvious: fast food), simply because we have to drive to go anywhere!

I'll look into the matter more in-depth, and see if, as you said, I can add my name to something. Thanks for the idea!

Re: I just saaw that video.

yeah, that would be great if they were labeled that way, make my life easier, and i have a question, do you guys buy, like leather purses and jeckets and stuff, and is that ok with you, as a vegetarian or not? I never do, never have, never will. To me, that is just as bad.

Re: I just saaw that video.

I don't. I have a suede jacket that I bought second hand 10 years ago and still wear (it's lasted well!), but I think that's about it!

Re: I just saaw that video.

I have a letter jacket for sports that has leather sleeves. No choice there, and I wanted a jacket. I have leather shoes, too, but only because non-leather ones are so dang hard to find. I feel bad about it, but can't really do anything about it now.
