A Vegetarian Household
My boyfriend has now officially decided to become a vegetarian which is awesome news as it means no more meat in the house! Well, until we get a pet that needs it of course
I'm just glad that he came to the decision by himself without any pressure from me at all.
I actually hadn't realised how long he had gone without meat (he is the head chef in our house!) and when I went to buy something with chicken in it for him, he stopped me and said he wasn't wanting to eat meat any more. After some research he decided that he couldn't settle with being a pescetarian either, so now we're both full veggies and I have to start looking for places where he can buy shoes and belts from, hee.
He is also of the opinion that if anyone went vegetarian for even three months then a huge percentage would stick with it and realise that it's not acceptable to have animals die for something we don't even need.
I just thought I'd share my happiness here as no one around me in real life really "gets it" (plus they think Jon only likes guinea pigs and is/was a veggie sympathiser because I force him to *rolls eyes*) and also to give hope to anyone else out there who is secretly hoping their partner might give up the meat

That is fantastic news! Even better that he made the decision for himself. Absolutely wonderful - thanks for sharing
There are a few places online where you can buy veggie shoes/belts etc - but careful shopping on the high street can also prove 'fruitful'!

Re: A Vegetarian Household
That is great!! I had been a vegetarian for about 5 years when I met my husband who was a meat eater although he was only into chicken and seafood. But he was so intrigued by it and about 4 months into our relationship announced he was willing to try vegetarianism....I was ecstatic but worried it might not last. Well, we've now been together over 13 years, married for 10 of those and he is STILL a dedicated vegetarian. And our daughter, age 7, has been a veggie since birth. So it can definitely happen! Best of luck to you both!
