Things that keep you going..

Just wondering if anyone had any special stories for things that helped them go veggie or stay that way?

My main motivation was owning a pet pig.. (yes a real pig not a guinea pig) His name was Crunch, although I called him Cuddles. He was bought (tisk tisk I know.. but he would have probably been eaten) at a fair at my grandparents church. We eventually had to find him a new home on a farm where he was also kept as a pet, and still lives there today.

Through the years I have also had other pets that are often used as food.. Such as Ducks and Crawfish..

Ducks that live in the lake at my grandparents house..

When I was 4 my grandpa bought crawfish to eat, I was horrified and stopped him when I saw it. He was just about to boil the last one which I saved. He became a family pet and lived for more than 3 years when he escaped out of his bowl one night (not kidding) and we never found him. I have asked my mom and grandparents if they were lying and he actually died (so it wouldnt hurt my feelings) but he honestly escaped.. We searched the house so many times, and have no idea where he went..

Snoopy-

More to come..

Re: Things that keep you going..

Even now, the neighbors at my grandparents have cows. They are quite friendly and are not used as food.. Im not sure why they keep them.. but they are always the same ones.. so they aren't lying about that. I think they are all females. Maybe kept for milk..

I call this one Annabelle.. (the owners didnt name them)

All together:

Cow Butts.. Too cute..
