| Great new recipe I tried! When I got my PETA2 kit in the mail one of the leaflets had recipes in it. One is for Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie. I made it today and it is absolutely delicious! I thought I would share it with you: Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie (Recipe from PETA2.org) Ingredients -1lb firm tofu -1/2 cup melted vegan chocolate chips (I used Tropical Source Semi Sweet) -1/2 cup smooth peanut butter -1/2 cup soy milk -1 premade graham cracker crust Directions Toss the tofu into a blender with the soy milk and puree it. Melt the chocolate in a pan over low heat or in a microwave. Combine it with the peanut butter and blend. Pour the mixture into the blended tofu and blend again. Pour into the pie crust. Chill for an hour or so and enjoy! |

| Re: Great new recipe I tried! That does sound quite tasty. I wonder how it would work with silken tofu. That's made more for whipping or spreading I think if you want to try another variation. It might not firm up as well though. I don't know if the original recipe mentioned this or not, but you should also check to make sure the graham crust isn't made with any butter or milk products, if you want it to be vegan. |
