Question Cubes needed in the Manchester area

Hello, I'd be so grateful if anyone knows where I can buy the cubes in the Manchester area. I actually live in Cheshire, but would be able to travel a few miles. So far I've tried B and Q in Stockport. I showed a member of staff a photo of a C&C cage, but was told they don't sell the cubes.

I'm hoping to build roughly 2 x 3x5 cages for my 6 piggies. They live in two small herds, 2 girls and 1 boy for each cage. Thank you for any help.

Re: Cubes needed in the Manchester area

I live in Cheshire too and haven't been able to find the cubes in shops. The next best thing I got was a wire mesh sheet that I got from Homebase (Wigan) and cut down to the right size. Each sheet cost £6 and I got 3 sheets to make a cage big enough for 2 pigs, I have a picture here: http://www.cavycages.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=2747&password=&sort=1&cat=500& page=1

How much are you willing to spend? You can buy grids via the internet but they are a tad pricey. Also, a member on here sells them on ebay, but again they are quite expensive. I hope the boys are neutered!

Thanks for letting me know Candi, your cage is really nice. I'll show hubby your picture as he's the handy one in the house .

I don't mind paying extra Piglet. I'd be grateful if you could post links so that I can see them. I imagine though the links are posted somewhere on the forums, so I'll have a look around and see if I can find them. Yes my boys are neutered and have been with my girls for 18 months now.

Glitter is selling them on ebay again:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31385&item=4386973 070&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

They have them in my local B&Q currently for £19.99, and www.robertmay.co.uk sell them for £19.99 plus postage, but you need to order a catalogue from them first.

Re: Cubes needed in the Manchester area

I couldn't find them in the Kleeneze catalogue. We got it in our post last week, and I scanned through all the books but didn't come across the grids. Is it only me?

Re: Cubes needed in the Manchester area

I got mine from stockports b+q warehouse in march. Ask them when they'd next be in stock, because I was told they were popular-so why would they stop selling them if they were popular?

Thanks carrotflavour, where abouts did you find them? We looked where they sell storage boxs etc and asked two members of staff, but they'd never seen them. Prehaps I'm looking in the wronge area? If we fail to get them, I will ask Manchesters Homebase and see if they have anything. Otherwise I'll try and get them on-line.

If you said you were willing to buy online then I could have gave you some links. They're a lot cheaper than Glitters rip off prices.

i did this too but found my guinea escaped from it so had to double the outside so basically put mesh over mesh to make smaller squares using cable ties.

but thankfully i have some cubes coming tomorrow
