Hello,
My name is Katie Burnes.I live in SE london and I'm yet to get my pigs. I have really researched and am starting to get paranoid that I'll be a really bad owner, but I try and reassure myself that i've done all the research so why should I? But a lot of my paranoia lies in the fact that I get bored of things easily but then again I've never had my own pet before and I was alright when my cat hurt its leg and was in my bedroom for three whole days and nights.
I've got a family cat and my cage is going to be situated in my lockable bedroom so my cat can't get in
I get bullied at school but have really supportive mates. I love animals, computers and politics and I want to combine the three when I'm older ( maybe be an MP for my local village/town? You need to haev a proper job to do that.)
Well that's most about me.

Hello there!

I think it's great that you told us a little bit about yourself. We get to know you better!
Guinea pigs are such fantastic animals - animals that you can NEVER get bored of! I could lie on my bed and just peer down into the cage for ages!

Everyone is scared when venturing into the unknown! I have never had pets before, so pigs were my first. I knew that they would have to be solely my responsibility too. Relax. Once you get them, everything will be ok.

So, where in SE england are you? I could try to find some rescue centres for you.

oh, I already know of one, it's called "the GBH" and I'm going there to get mine, it's just my parents are having financial troubles and my dad wants us to be secure first.thanks anyone, your obviously a V. nice person!
I am going to get them cause my dad had them when he was little.

bromers, I'm sure your GP doesn't hate you. Sometimes I feel my cat absoloutely hates me but then he comes and purrs on my shoulder... when I'm sleeping... I love him and I would be SOOOO upset if he was lost etc. but he can be so rude when all your trying to do is catch up on some beauty sleep!

No problem - glad that you have found a good place to get them from. Sorry, I havn't heard of it! I am from the west of London.

So, do you know when you are going to get the pigs? I couldn't wait till I got mine, although I had to wait 5 months (long story!). Be sure to post some pictures of your cage in the photo galleries, and of your pigs in 'General Chat'.

May I ask how old you are CM? It's weird because me and bromers are both nearly the same age, both from London and both vegetarians! So I was wondering it would be freaky if you too were our age
