Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I haven't been able to find the cubes anywhere for a reasonable price so I decided to go with the wire mesh panels from homebase which Wheekster told me about. I've made the main cage all I have to do is the base and I'm going to make them a small second level using tubs. Here's a picture of the cage so far: http://www.cavycages.com/photos/show...cat=500&page=1 |

Candi, that's fantastic! What sized cage have you made it then? Just out of curiosity, are you from the midlands? |

Also, will you be using correx for the base? |

The cage is 28" by 50". No I'm not from the midlands, I'm near Manchester. For the base I'm using cardboard covered with a thick shower curtain. I was going to use lino but the prices around here are stupid and I can't get correx as I use buses for travelling. |

did you order the wire mesh panels off the internet or did you go into a shop and get them? |

I got them from Homebase as far as I know they don't sell them on their website. They're probably too large and bulky to send in the post. |

The wire mesh cost about £16 altogether for 3 large sheets. I've just finished making the door to the cage for floor time: http://www.cavycages.com/photos/show...cat=500&page=1 http://www.cavycages.com/photos/show...cat=500&page=1 |

There's a final picture of the cage here: http://www.cavycages.com/photos/show...php?photo=2701 I've had to also baby proof it with cardboard until they get bigger. |
