Started my Cavy Cage!!

I haven't been able to find the cubes anywhere for a reasonable price so I decided to go with the wire mesh panels from homebase which Wheekster told me about. I've made the main cage all I have to do is the base and I'm going to make them a small second level using tubs. Candi, that's fantastic! What sized cage have you made it then? Just out of curiosity, are you from the midlands?

Also, will you be using correx for the base?

The cage is 28" by 50". No I'm not from the midlands, I'm near Manchester. For the base I'm using cardboard covered with a thick shower curtain. I was going to use lino but the prices around here are stupid and I can't get correx as I use buses for travelling.

did you order the wire mesh panels off the internet or did you go into a shop and get them?

I got them from Homebase as far as I know they don't sell them on their website. They're probably too large and bulky to send in the post.

She did that she used cardboard and a shower curtain. It looks really good candi, very inventive!

The wire mesh cost about £16 altogether for 3 large sheets.
