Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Hello,I just wanted to share with everyone that aldi and lidl have fantastic deals on vegetables. They have cos lettuce a large bunch for 98p, little gem lettuce on offer 45p for two, cucumbers 29p, baby carrots 69p, cauliflowers/cabbage 49p and sweetcorn or corn on the cob 49p. In aldi they have cherry tomatoes, cerley, broccolli, different types of lettuces, green beans, baby sweetcorn all under £1. I also found cheap flleece in the shop 'worth it' for £1.99! Also look in home bargains and BM bargains for cheap fleece. I personally dont use fleece but thought some of you out there do and would like the price tags! Have fun shopping, I know I did! |

You are so lucky corn on the cob in the uk is so cheap. Here it 1.49 each. I really want to try my pigs with the husks. Tomorrow is my shopping day so going to try them with butter nut squash. |

Husk is the outter leaves of the corn on the cob. They can eat the silks also. Just peel off the first layer and bin it. The rest of the husks they can eat. Don't give it if it has any blemishes(brown spots). As far as i know they can eat the husks every day. |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Hi there,I work at Lidl,We always have the vegetable deals on say every other week, the cucumbers are always going down to 29p,If you ask any workers there im sure they would let you have any cob leaves for free just pick some up,We change veg Daily too,and do quality checks every half an hour so the veg usually keeps fresh,I bought some veg from Asda the other week and it started to rot after two days! |

Wish I could get my pig to eat corn husks. He just turns his noes up at them (as did his brother when he was alive). Very annoying as I can get them free in work. |

Have you tried chopping up the husks into small pieces. My girls turned there noses up at it untill i chopped it up. They really love it now. Butter nut squash they don't like. Poppy took a piece out of the bowl and peed on it. CHEEKY BRAT. |
