Hi Everyone Would you love to see a really cute hedgie win Pet Idol? Well, just to add some variety, I entered Holly my 5 month old African Pygmy Hedgehog. She is doing well, but needs more votes, so if you think she is cute, please click the following link (It only takes a few seconds) http://mms.million21.com/GmgWeb/Detail.aspx?MmsId=788 Thanks very much! (I do of course have Guinea Pigs too!) |

Thanks for voting! I feed her dried cat food, locusts and mealworms and occasionally fruit and veg. They can also eat scrambled eggs, but I haven't tried that yet. She lives in a large indoor rabbit cage and exercises on a large wheel. She is such a little character, love her to bits! |

That's OK, I didn't know. Thanks for voting. It's neck and neck with another dog at the moment for runner up, so please vote if you haven't already and want to of course. (It only takes a second) Much appreciated. |

Holly WON! And not just runner up, the actual winner! I can't believe it, as there was a dog with more votes than her... I had a call from the newspaper and they said that the top 5 pets went to a panel of judges....and they chose Holly as overall winner! I'm soooo excited. The newspaper is came yesterday to take photo's of her and I have won £150 of vouchers for Pets at Home, which will come in handy. The publicity would be great though as now I can mention about my business in the article, and that she visits schools. I am also going to mention that Hedgies don't suit everyone and that they are very expensive etc as I know what some people can be like - they will see the article and want to buy one straight away, with knowing anything about their care. But now, Holly will go into the Grand final as they are 8 regions taking part, so now she goes head to head with the other 7 finalists.... The winner of that gets another £500 vouchers. So she will need you to vote for her again I'm afraid LOL. I will keep you all informed, I don't have a link just yet to her new page, but will soon! Thanks veryone for voting. Andrea |
