Hidey houses!! Hi, I put this in the 'UK' section because I want to talk to people who understand the troubles of products in england! well! I am having big, big trouble finding hidey houses in the UK as silly as it sounds ! I don't want to use boxes because I don't have anywhere I can get them often and once there gone there GONE the piggies chew them, pee in them etc etc.So if anybody can help on where to find some please tell me!

Re: Hidey houses!! I got some gorgeous hidey houses from zooplus.com, just remember to check sizes as some are for much smaller animals. We have a Thordis Cabin and a Hanna Cabin, for the latter you definitely need the big size and even then it's not a huge hidey. Bunnymail.co.uk (also known as Bunny Bazaar) has the Link-N-Lodge, the medium size of which will fit one piggie. There are also grass houses here which last a few months in my experience before either torn apart or too soggy from pee around the walls (it has no bottom). It also has the MUST HAVE Fiddle Sticks log tunnels, again I recommend the large. They also have huge igloos which look good that I haven't tried yet. Thistle Cavies guinea pig rescue often has some nice houses, both solid and comfortable though they seem to be out of a few at the moment so I'd keep checking back. Hope that helps a bit :]

Re: Hidey houses!! My local pet shop has pigloos although they are quite expensive (I think £4.99 for a small and £7.99 or something for large)! What about plastic step stools? My piggies have one and they like sitting under it and bumping it around everywhere! We also have a wooden house my dad made, it was meant to be a hedgehog hut for the garden but I use it for the piggies. It's just some small pieces of wood nailed together, I'll take a photo soon. I find there are usually lots of cardboard boxes at the supermarkets under the tills, for putting shopping in. Wine boxes are perfect sizes for houses.
