Piggie tent tutorial link

I've seen many of you with tents and have always wanted to make one (several) for my two girls. I finally ran across this link to a tutorial that includes the pattern as a pdf. I had to share it with all you piggie lovers. I found it thru a page on facebook that linked their pintrest board. Oh, I love that pattern! My piggies love the tents too.

I have three modifications I made to this pattern to make it more piggy-friendly.

1. Cut two entrances! This gives the pigs options in case of the possibility of squabbles and fights, because pigs can get out on either side. (From the angles the pictures were taken at, you can't see the other entrances).

2. Use fleece, not cotton. It's softer and more suitable for piggies.

3. Make a fleece mat on the bottom to make cleaning easier. My mats are 11"x11" and are a sandwich of fleece, mattress pad, and another layer of fleece. I change these every day, and wash the tent every week.


As you can see, my pigs LOVE these tents.

Thanks Tigger. I've always loved them but could never find the pattern. Thanks for the tips as well. all the hidies I make or buy have two holes. My pepper likes to pick on honey some times.
