I was thinking that santa will bring the girls a chia pet so they could eat the grass. But I want to make sure that this is safe for them to eat. Is it?

So is that a yes or no? I just thought that it was a good idea from Santa Paws.[/quote
I don't think you'd get enough to make it worth the trouble. If your intention is to offer the grass as a snack, there's not much on it. If it's for the cuteness factor, it is a novelty. I've had chia pets before and potted grass. You get much more grass in pots and it grows back quickly. The chia pets just have a fine layer of grass since the seeds sit right on the clay pottery without any soil.
I have seen Chia Pets for cats, it grows cat grass in a cute little pot. It might be better for guinea pigs then the normal Chia pets.

Links are fine. There are just some links we do not allow at all. But a link to a chia pet would be ok as long as it's not on a site that isn't allowed.I can not put a link on here so I will pm you and tell you what I was looking at.
