Early this morning (much earlier than I was awake) my Nelly had her babies. I could have sworn she was big enough to fit three in there but there were only two, beautiful and healthy babies.

Disclaimer: I did not breed my mommy piggy nor do I condone breading of guinea pigs. It turns out that we adopted a pregnant piggy. One that was supposed to have never met a male.

So, they are beautiful and happy and I just wanted to show off the little babies. I am not sure yet how I am going to tell them apart right now. One does have a little bit fuzzier white spot on her head.

The far baby is also just an tiny bit darker shade of red.

I believe they are both girls (its hard to tell at this age of course) and if they are I think I will keep both. Don't tell my husband.

I love, love, love orange piggies. Never had one myself though as I've never been able to find any to adopt around here.

Better watch it, I may have to come snatch them. So adorable.

Congrats on the healthy babies. They are adorable.

They is beautiful! Congratulations. :)

They are sooooo cute!

Thank you! I am honestly just relieved that everything went smoothly. I had a nightmare the other night that involved rushing the mama to the vet only to find they had moved. I will be able to sleep better now.

Nelly is such a great mama and since she was alone for the month that we had her I imagine she is glad to have some company, even if they only want to chase her around and nurse. Its a mini piggy train when she walks around, they follow her nose to tail in a little line.

Oh my gosh TWINS! How freaking cute!!! I love them!!! Oh my gosh gosh!! I just stole your photo of the twins and it is my desktop background photo for the day.

Congratulations on all going well with your mommy piggy!!!

Remember to remove any boy babies at 21 days .. hopefully they are both girls.

Too cute. I have 5 babies here too.

Just adorable! I would have to keep both too. Just too cute to be anything but mine.

Oh they are so cute! I bet mommas proud of them! :cheerful:

They are so cute! I love baby piggies, they are just so cute! Reminds me of meeting my new one last weekend!

Just wondering, how old is mummy? She look very young too!

Wow! What a stunning trio! The pregnancy was a blessing in disguise. I really hope they are both girlicues. Young mom and 2 healthy babies is a good sign they will stay healthy, and you will no doubt love them to bits.

They are just adorable and just like their mama! I am really glad it all went well - now you can just enjoy them!

Isn't it funny how much baby guineas look like tiny capybaras?

Hehe, ditto.

Too cute!! I too would love an orange/red piggie. But, alas, the only time an orange piggy was in a shelter/rescue near me. It was there for less than 48 hours.

I love the pigture where they are kissing - you are so lucky to have such cute piggers!

There Precious! Congratulations Grandma! :)
