In trying to save a little money I have been looking for Hay alternatives. Buying hay at Target is getting out of hand with the five pigs and a bunny, mail order has a better price but shipping to Florida costs more than the product itself. I posted a "wanted" ad on craigslist for someone locally growing Timothy Hay. I got a response from someone who grows Coastal hay. They said it is great for goats and horses, they didn't know what type of animals I was feeding. My question is can the piggers and bunny eat it as a replacement for the Timothy?

Thanks in advance!

Any grass hay is fine. Coastal is just another name for bermuda.

Thank you! This way I can buy it by the bale. I didn't want to buy something that wouldn't give them everything they need. It seems like everything recomends Timothy or Blue grass. I haven't seen anything saying they should have Bermuda or Coastal and I wanted to be sure.
