Question 2x3 C&C cage - ok for two pigs?

I currently have a 2x3 C&C cage for our one little piggy. But we'd like to get him a friend since we both work during the day and he's home alone. Is a 2x3 cage big enough for two?

It is. 2x4 would be better, but 2x3 is the absolute minimum.

I would say a 2x4 is needed for two boars. They're more likely to fight in a smaller cage.

It depends on the boars. I have two sets of brothers who are just fine in a 2x3 and yet another pair of brothers who couldn't live peacefully in a 2x6. If the boys are young and going through puberty, bigger is better for sure.

People have different opinions on the matter. Having space issues myself, I can sympathise. I'd say, if you have space issues, try it. For two girls I think a 2x3 is fine but with two boys, it is not ideal.

edit - just had an even better thought. Since no one can ever determine whether two boars are going to get on, why don't you neuter your boar and get a sow?
