Can guinea pigs have too much lettuce?

I was just curious, can guinea pigs have too much romaine lettuce? I was just curious if it can make them sick.

I'm totally not sure, but give 1-2 stalks per day to be on the safe side. Mine get 1 stalk per cavy, apples(every three days), cucumbers, then 1 baby carrot. Sometimes I give celery. That's what they get in one day, and it is enough because all my pigs are healthy and chubby. Lol...

i give my guinea pigs a lot of lettuce because we always seem to have it i give them two or three for the big one and one or two for my younger one a day. I give them other stuff its on hand.

I give them 2 stalks each, spinach, cilantro, asparagus, and one baby carrot a day. They seem healthy, though Cocoa's getting a bit chubby.

I giv them romaine lettuce,celery,cucumber,carrot,apple and grape.Each wan I giv at differen day.

I'm guessing it would make them sick. Don't give them ridiculous amounts such as 4 to 5 lettuce leaves a day. Be sensible and feed any vegetable in moderation

Will they finish the vege you give them? Or there'll sure be leftovers...

I give my pigs about two leaves per pig plus some parsley or cilantro. They alternate between carrots and apples.

they will most likely finish it but if its been in there for over two hours take it out.

RubyPiggy2-do you supplement Vitamin C? All of the veggies (not fruits) you listed that you feed every day have a lower vitamic C content.

I bought regular vitamin c tablets, 100 miligram and cut them up into quarters, thats 25 mil each. they get one a day. Cant hurt and this way i know they are getting enough vitamin c.
