Can Guinea Pigs Eat Leaves From Grapevines?

I have a yard full of overgrown grapevines, and I'm wondering if it would be okay to feed the leaves to the guinea pigs. I'm not really interested in feeding them our grapes; I'm just wondering if it would be okay to feed them the leaves. My piggies are much too special for me to not look into this first.

Good question! Humans eat grapevine leaves, so perhaps piggies can too.

They can have grapes in small amounts, so I would *think* the leaves would be ok too. Just be careful not to let them have any that have been exposed to bird/bird droppings or that have been treated with any pesticides.

It could be poisinous though, leaves from some fruits and vegetables can be very poisinous so I don't think its best to presume that because we can eat the leaves that guinea pigs can as well. If I were you I wouldn't give it to them unless you know it's alright for sure.
