Really? Taking piggies places?

So I'm in the process of making a whole new cage for my piggy and a future friend. I went to Home Depot with my Dad to look at Wood and Laminate tile when all of a sudden I heard wheeking! I was so freaked out that a piggy was trapped somewhere near the wood or something! My Dad pointed out that there was a lady with one of those doggy strollers, I asked her what type of dog she had in there and she said she had Guinea pigs!

I was so baffled! She didn't have two or three, but NINE! I think there were about 2 skinny pigs, 1 long haired, and I'm not sure about the others. They were so friendly! They'd come up a wheek at my Dad and I! She said it was a herd of girls, and a herd of 5 Boars at home! XD I told her I had a piggy at home and she said that she had a 3x16 for her girls and a 3x8 for her boys! I don't even know where she puts that big of a cage! Just thought I'd share that with you guys. I was so shocked.

Hahah wow! That's taking crazy cavy lady to the extreme! I was mortified the day mum got a stroller for her dog! But a guinea pig? Awwwww mine would never sit still! Always wanting to explore!

Wow! I can't imagine seeing that and she must have quite a big house for those cages! I hope she had food and water with her though. Thanks for sharing!

okay, so i'll be the stick in the mud - i have a hard time thinking about a stroller full of pigs at Home Depot as "cute" in any way. guinea pigs are fragile and delicate - yes, we've had this kind of thread before - about taking pigs out in public. i'm sure if they (the pigs) were given a choice, they would rather be home munching on lettuce under their hidey - not in a noisy smelly store.

and, just because she has 2 big cages doesn't necessarily mean she's taking good care of her pigs. cage size is only one part of good care.
nine pigs jammed into a stroller, with no place to hide - well, of course they were wheeking!

like i said - i'm a stick in the mud, a wet blanket, a old crotchety guinea pig lady. . .
