    Peaches...was she babied?

I recently just got Peaches. I have noticed that when I try putting her on the floor to play and run around she runs straight for me and gets in my lap. It's almost as if she were babied by the previous owners. Which isn't a bad thing but it seems like she just wants to be held all the time. Maybe she still needs time to get use to everything? Any suggestions?

Also, this is not the first guinea pig I've owned. My previous two piggies were completely different from Peaches. They loved running around.

She may have figured out you're her safe spot so she goes to you when she's not sure about new situations. My pig Sheldon (neutered) always wants me to pick him up and hold him when he's nervous. What really helps him through is my hyper pig, Penny. She shows him not to be scared of the world.
    Does Peaches have a friend?

No she doesn't. She is the only one I can have at the moment. I figured she may need a buddy to play with so I'll probably end up getting another one for her to buddy up with. Thanks for the help.
