Can you use any shampoo on guinea pigs? If so what are the best ones to use and how often should you bathe them

No you can not use just any shampoo. It has to be made for small animals. Some people swear kitten shampoo or puppy but personally I would never use it. I use Gorgeous Guineas: Welcome To Gorgeous Guineas HQ! Shampoo. Its not super expensive either and last a long time.

I agree with the gorgeous guineas shampoo, I love it.
And piggies shouldn't need baths, since they wash themselves. So no bath unless they get especially filthy.

Ok. I'll order some just in case I ever need it. I'm going to be switching to fleece and I read that some guinea pigs end up smelling like urine so I'll have the shampoo for a back up thing for that. Thanks

That company says every 4-6 weeks with their products. I bath about that. Most of the time its every 2 months. I have two long haired pigs and one short haired. They are all boys and can get pretty stinky!
