    Should my friend be worried?

Well my friend has a guinea pig that all of a sudden has a loss of hair, should she be worried? What is it?

Some pigs seem to lose some hair in their rosettes. I think usually it's mites, but could be fungus or even lice. I would treat with ivermectin for parasites first.

Where would she buy ivermectin from?
How would she apply it to her piggy?

How would do guinea pigs get mites or fungi?
    Could it just be nothing?

You can go to www.guinealynx.info and research the information on mites. It tells how to administer it and where to get it. You can also research fungus there.
