For a dye test that they do to a guinea pigs eye to see if there's any scratches or ulcers, do they put him on anything first so he's sleeping? I'm Kind of nervous for my guinea pig.

It's almost like what an eye doctor does when he checks your eye. It's not painful. They put something in the eye, turn the lights off and look with a special light. Very simple and fast.
Okay, good! I didn't want him to get traumatized or anything for something that I actually think is pink eye.
I thought it looked like conjunctivitis, too, when I saw the photo but it's good to be sure. Good luck at the appt.Originally Posted by amandatros
