Keep getting flagged on CL

I've gotten my ad flagged/removed two times now from Craigslist. At first, I thought it was because I had linked to an automated adoption application form. I removed that, but then I was removed again. When I got home from work today, I revamped the ad again (to make it even more clear I wasn't a breeder), and this is what I posted just a few minutes ago. The title of the ad is "Three guinea pigs for adoption"

I am not a breeder, nor do I condone breeding guinea pigs. These were not intentional babies. We bought Franny from a pet store, and did not know she was pregnant until a month later. Our other adult guinea pig is female as well (they were both sexed by an exotics vet), and so Franny could not have gotten pregnant that way.

Now we are looking for homes for three pups. I will be keeping them until they find good homes, and I do expect to have (at the very least) a phone interview before they are picked up. The $10 rehoming fee includes whatever alfalfa pellets we have left over and some hay to get you started. They were born October 3rd in the evening, and will not be weaned until October 24th. Please read through Guinea Lynx and Guinea Pig Cages (both pro-adoption, anti-breeding sites) before contacting, thanks!

And then there are pictures of all three babies, linked to the originals on Flickr (per Flickr's policy). I'm really worried somebody might think the ad is from a breeder (which I am not), and I really want to find good homes for my babies before we run out of space for them. Three weeks is not a long time to find homes, and we just don't have room for another cage should any of them be males.

Some people on CL just have issues. Keep trying, try the GP Zone too.

I can't travel (no car), so I wasn't sure about posting here just yet. I wanted to try the local option for at least a week before moving here. I know other people are willing to travel, but sometimes I feel weird about that, heh.

Try asking for a donation to your local animal control or rescue instead of a fee. You can also contact your local rescue to see if they would do a courtesy listing for you on Petfinder.

I would post on petfinder but keep posting on CL as well. There are some strange people on CL that I think just like flagging everyone! So don't take it personally, what you are doing is perfectly legit for CL.

CL isnt the best place, try petfinders. I love petfinders. CL you can flag everyone, I like it but its not trustworthy.


Also, when you daid babis it got m excitied and I would really love some photo's. I love baby piggies

you know you might be being flagged for charging. I mean I know and you know that a small re-homing fee is allowed, but some people only hear part of the information and take it their own way.

Not sure how the whole CL thing works but could it be automatically be flagging your post due to the word breeder? I've only used it once and bought my beautiful piggie Roger! Good luck with fining your babies a forever home!

The previous two ads I ran didn't have the word breeder at all, so I wanted to make sure people knew I *wasn't* a breeder this time. So difficult! It hasn't been taken down yet, so hopefully all is well.

If you don't put a price and you just put "re-homing fee" then you might not get flagged again! Hope This Helped!

So it's been awhile...have you been able to adopt out your pigs?

Just a guess, but the links to Guinea Lynx and Guinea Pig Cages may be what's getting you flagged. In some communities any mention of outside sites will be flagged for spam. Hope you already have found them a new home, if not you might want to try it again without linking the sites.
