I fear one of the guinea pigs I got recently may be pregnant. Actually, I'm about 80% sure at this point, especially after researching on this forum and elsewhere. This was not intentional, as I've had them both sexed by a vet (who owned guinea pigs in the past) and myself. I'm guessing Franny was already pregnant when I got her about a month ago. We're going to go ahead and start giving her double the vitamin C dosage (tablet form).
The main question I have is whether or not I should separate the two adult females from one another when she gets closer to giving birth. Will the other female do anything to the babies? Is it better to play safe than sorry in that situation? I read somewhere, can't remember where, that other females would be okay with newborns, but I wanted to double-check to make sure.

I'm separating them at three weeks. They are a week old. You will enjoy them. They are SO cute! I'm keeping three out three out of the five.
