Could she be pregnant!?
First of all, i just want to say that i am so anxious and on edge that i feel sick.
July 16th, i bought a guinea pig from pet's supplies plus. i knew pet stores weren't always in the best conditions, but i thought they were "good" in a sense. That i would be rescuing an innocent guinea pig from being bought by a careless owner. Now i know that i was just as careless as anyone else would have been. i didn't know any better. i wish i did. But what's done is done and honestly, i'm too attached to my girl that if i had the chance, i wouldn't change a thing. That's a hard truth and i don't want to feel this way- but i love this guinea pig with all my heart.
Nikki was kept in with another piggy. They looked related, littermates, probably. They shared the same coat colors and were very, very close. I should of got the other pig. I... think she's dead now. She was in worse conditions than Nikki and why didn't i get her? I don't know. i honestly don't know but if i could go back in time, i would. At least i know that pig would have been replaced by two more that would have suffered the same fate. And it was one of the worker's favorite, even if he did hold her carelessly and fling the innocent little thing at me.
I was stupid enough to think that the pigs would be of the same sex. I've had dwarf hamsters before, back a few years ago and i bought three "girls" one of which ended up pregnant and Izzabelle became an Izzy. Why had I not learned my lesson?
Now... I think.. Nikki may be pregnant.
When she sits, sometimes her sides puff out. She's gained a lot of weight considering she was a twig- skin and bones when i bought her. She's probably doubled, maybe tripled in size.
And yesterday, after cleaning her cage, she picked up her appletree branches and took them into her hidey house, one by one. she had them all in there eventually and made a nest out of them.
Sometimes she lays around a lot. she'll do zoomies and popcorns and run countless laps out of the cage but when she's in it, she lays down in her hidey house. Rarelys comes out unless it's for food or water or to explore a few minutes.
Guinea pigs are pregnant three months, right? Would it be completely super obvious by now? (July 16 was the day i bought her. it's almost two months later). Or is it sometimes not obvious at all when they're pregnant? Could it be possible that she's just puffed out a lot and isn't pregnant at all?
She was quite young when i.... 'bought' her. but pigs can get pregnant at two weeks.
Please, please don't yell at me. My mom already did. I'm so scared. A 20% chance of dying each pregnancy... and the possibility of the babies dying...
It's all too much. I'll post pictures soon.
Is there any way to tell for sure if a pig is pregnant?

Re: Could she be pregnant!?
If you got her on July 16, you would be absolutely certain by now that she's pregnant. Gestation is not 3 months, it's 68-72 days. If you hold her quietly cupped in your two hands, with your hands under her belly, you would feel and likely see babies moving.
And a vet would be able to feel babies as well.

Okay then, I doubt she's preggers. I held her as you instructed, and I didn't feel or see any babies.
Like I said, I'll post pics soon, but I'm on Mom's laptop and I don't have any pictures on here.
(Oh- sorry about saying pigs are pregnant three months. I just watched a Youtube video that said the gestation is three months, and I thought "Huh, I thought it was shorter than that." I thought I was wrong about it and totally ended up switching things. )
