Rude craigslist poster

So I'm looking to sell my Ferret Nation because I adopted another rabbit and I want to make a C&C cage more suitable for both of them.
I was searching for "ferret" in nearby cities and I came across this post:

4 level CAGE like new

I emailed him:

"Just wanted to let you know that cage is not safe for guinea pigs or rabbits, let alone way too small. Please change your listing so someone’s pet doesn’t get hurt. Thanks! "

I even read it to my boyfriend to make sure I didn't sound rude.

If it were me I would be thankful for the advice, but what I got was a very rude response with this person telling me to mind my own business, and that the animals don't know any different. I replied and he was even more rude the second time. Then I got a third email saying he reported me to CL. I'm confident that I did nothing wrong and I'll forward the convo to CL or anyone who wants to see it.

I'm sorry if I'm not allowed to ask this(mostly just wanted to vent), but if someone has a few minutes, maybe you could email him too. I know I shouldn't let it get to me, but it worries me that cage could possibly go to someone who doesn't know any better and who does want it for a rabbit or GP.

If you don't want to get involved that's fine with me but I'm still going to send an email to CL. Thanks!

It does look good for rats, even a hamster.

It looked big to me. I just can't tell the measuring of the bars. Definately not for guineas or buns.

Mind my own business? Pretty sure faulty advertisment and animal cruelty displayed on the internet becomes EVERYONE'S business.

It's not against Craigslist's rules to post cages that may be too small for guinea pigs or rabbits. But you may not post things like that here to try to solicit members into sending them emails.

Also you may not post email responses you get from other people without their permission.
