Guinea Pig Adopting, Breeders in the UK?
I'm looking to adopt some guinea pigs and I the pet shops near me aren't so good looking at staff and where the guinea pigs are. I am looking for rescue homes or breeders (long haired preferably). Does anybody know any good people?
Thanks
Isabella

Please avoid petshops. So many piggies need a home!
check that site : http://www.guinealynx.info/rescue_organizations_uk.html
you might find what you need, I hope!

Re: Guinea Pig Adopting, Breeders in the UK?
Please don't buy from a breeder -- there's a horrible over-supply of guinea pigs in most of the world, and there are wonderful pigs available for adoption nearly everywhere. If you need more reasons why, there are plenty of threads on here with reasons to adopt rather than buy from either a breeder or a pet store.
There are a lot of UK posters over at GuineaLynx, and a number of them run guinea pig rescues. If you post a message in the Cavy Chat or Cavy Placement forums, I'm sure there will be someone there who can help you.

Thank you guys!
I think I have found to buy from rescue home then a breeder or pet shop. I'll be checking those sites out.

I also think its better, people buy Guinea pigs for children etc and them they got bored of them and lose internest. I know personaly that there are lots of people on internet ad places always looking for new homes for their guinea pigs.
