    Forum software

I don't see a totally appropriate place to post this, but what kind of software does this site use for the forum?

My browser (Firefox) is driving me nuts with popup messages warning me that information has to be sent before it will go back to a previous page. I contacted Mozilla, and they want to know which software runs the forum, since it doesn't happen to me on anyone else's forums.

I don't think the problem has to do with this site in particular, but rather with the way Firefox interacts with the forum program.

    Thanks.

Down at the bottom of each page is where it says what version of vbulletin the forum is running on, in this case: vBulletin 3.8.1

But, I'm using Firefox & have no problems whatsoever. I think its probably in your settings somewhere.

I also use firefox and have no problem. What version are you running? And if you're talking about the pop up that says something about "in order to view this page you must resend information..." I get that, but it's not bothersome. Usually it means that the page has changed because you've responded to a post or something, I think.

    Re: Forum software

No, I get it every time I click the "back" button with the exception of the first three or four back clicks, and it doesn't happen with any other forum I use. I'm not changing anything, or searching for anything. I think Mozilla wanted to know if they had any known issues with the forum software -- I've already checked all my settings, and they should be good. Happens on more than one computer, too, but they're all running the same version of Firefox.

I've never heard of anyone experiencing that problem. I've never experienced it. I use FF.

Are you on a Mac or PC? What operating system? What version of Firefox? Do you have any other Firefox add-ons installed?

I have very small problems with the chat room and fire fox where the chat room keeps flickering but I am pretty sure that has to do with the fact I refuse to run things in full screen.

    Re: Forum software

I think I finally figured it out. One Mozilla support site indicated that some add-ons conflict with some websites because of the way each uses the FireFox cache. I've disabled all the add-ons and will add them back one at a time until I figure out which one it is.

It's the only explanation that accounts for the fact that it happens on more than one of my computers (I run the same Firefox add-ons on all of them), and that it doesn't happen on other forum software (none of the others I read regularly use vBulletin).

    Thanks for your suggestions.
