Fruits and Veggies
What kinds of fruits and veggies can I feed to my piggies? Where can I find a list? How much do I give them (I will have 2 pigs)?

There is a list at the top of this forum section in the sticky threads. It's called the Nutrition charts and Poisonous plants list. There is also a sample menus thread in the sticky's too. Please read over both of those.
Also be aware that fruits are best given no more than 1-2 times per week in small amounts as they are high in sugars no matter what my charts may say. I am working on a revision for the charts.

Re: Fruits and Veggies
Should I still give my piggies vitamin c tablets even if I feed them veggies and fruits. Would it hurt them to have extra vitamin c?
So if I feed them 2 meals a day would that include pellets as well? I read on guinealynx that one pig should have 1/8 of a cup a day. If I fed her 2 times a day would I split that amount up into 2 servings?

There is such a thing as too much Vitamin C, but it would have to be a very high amount to cause problems. If you're feeding a good variety and quality of veggies, they shouldn't need extra C, but if you really want to give them the tablets, I'd suggest half a tab instead of a whole one daily. Healthy pigs really only need 10-20 mg of Vitamin C a day and each tab (assuming we're talking about the Oxbow tabs) is 50 mg, so half of one plus a good veggie diet will ensure their Vitamin C needs are being well met.

Veggies should be split into two servings. For pellets, I just refill them once a day. It takes almost the whole day for them to eat them, so they are still able to nibble on them throughout the whole day. Make sure you are feeding a quality brand such as Kleenmama or Oxbow.
