Exclamation Class Action Lawsuit against Pet Land!

HSUS files lawsuit against Petland Inc. | chillicothegazette.com | Chillicothe Gazette

People are FINALLY wising up to the fact that Pet Land sells unhealthy puppy-mill pups. Pet Land has been selling sick animals, without notifying owners, resulting in animal death, emotional damage, and substancial financial loss to the owners.

Of course Pet Land denys the aligations, saying "Our puppies receive strict veterinary care and supervision," said Joe Watson, vice president of Petland. "First, each Petland puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian and provided with a health certificate prior to arriving at our stores."

What do you all think about this? A little to late, or a step in the right direction?
This story was just on my local news station, and I stood up and clapped. I hope people realize that its NOT just puppies that are being milled, but other animals as well.

Yeah, I worked at PetSmart before I knew the horrors.

Pretty much the worst 5 months of my life.

We were told we weren't allowed to play with the animals.

The animals that required hay rarely got it. ( I was usually the only one that remembered. ) Poor diet, nasty cages, animals would die almost everyday. Our "sick room" was about the size of a closent, 80 degrees constantly, no air flow, and was stuffed with sick and dying animals.

Nothing that anyone didn't know before, right?
