Piggie biting Coroplast!
I need some advice. My piggie is biting the coroplast in her cage.... I don't know what to do about it. At first the coroplast came up really high, about five inches and she would climb up to chew on it. I recently cut it down to about an inch and a half, so she could see us at eye level and not have to keep looking up at us, and she's still chewing.
I try to stop her when I can, but I can't be watching her 24/7.
Is it dangerous and what should I do about it?

Re: Piggie biting Coroplast!
Sliding binding bars onto the edges of the coroplast will stop her from doing this. I have had this problem and doing this stops them completely. They are very cheap and you can find them in office supplies / stationary shops. This is what they look like http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos...php?photo=6969

You could cover it with fleece.

Re: Piggie biting Coroplast!
When my C&C cage was first made, my pigs were constantly chewing on the coroplast but I didnt know what to do about it so I just took any tape off the inside of the cage and stopped them if I caught them chewing. Fortunatly they never got sick off of it and after a few days they stopped chewing on it all together. I dont know if it did help or not, but I put a kabob around they area they woudl chew and filled it with natural bark chews.
