    Cubes for ratties

Can the whitmore cubes be used to make a rat cage for 3 adult males, or are the grids to widely spaced?

I saw the ones that used a second griding over the cubes. I would like to be able to have enough room to stick fingers in for pets and tummy scratches though.

You might be able to use them; it really all depends on the ratties. Some adult males cannot and will not esacpe, others could get stuck in the grids if they are persistant. I babyproofed my Ferret Nation cage for my rats I am getting on Sunday. The bar spacing is 1in x 5in but now its .25in x .25 inches. I got the mesh at Lowes for $30 (two rolls).
