Mites?

Hello,
I was just wondering about mite problems. My little Cookies, squawks and screams almost all the time, she will do this only when in cage and by herself. She has stopped squawking when being held but refuses to go nicely into open hands. She just doesnt want to be held, even though we held her right after she was born, took her to the vet and they said no to mites but her temperment suggests otherwise. Could I just have a pig that doesnt want to be around humans or does it sound like mites and since Cookies is all black, the vet not see anything?

Mites are microscopic, so you can't see them. If you are worried, you can treat her with ivermectin.
