Not sure where we could do this yet, depends what part of the UK everyones from, but I think next summer (turning colder now) we should organise a UK pignic. What does everyone think?

Would be nice but I think we're all a bit spread out for it to work, unfortunately.
I've always wanted to do a UK pignic but I don't think there is enough members from the same area. Daft is from Scotland and I am in the south of England, it is quite a distance!
I like the idea of a UK pignic, but again it's finding a place that everyone can get to that's going to be a problem. I'm kind of south-ish.
Yeah, it took me 9 hours to drive back from Cornwall a few years ago, and I'm in the South of Scotland. Would be nice to meet up though...
I was thinking manchester way, as mid point. It will be a long time yet anyway, as is getting a bit cold for it now anyway. Not sure how they all get on at these things, as introductions are so hard, how come they don't all fight?
The guinea pigs, or the owners?![]()
I meant the guinea pigs.
Hahaha,loved it, pigs or humans?
Could always have a Scottish one and an English one! I have a little hall right next to my house we could hire! Hint, hint.
I would come - but would probably leave pigs at home, as is still quite a distance and would worry it would be too stressful for them - think they would be petrified! (Does that defeat the purpose?!!)
How do the Americans do it - is it just the folk who live in the one city/near vicinity?
If it's tough for you guys in Scotland and England, what about poor ol' me in Northern Ireland? I'm across the water!
Hey Laura, if you got the ferry to Stranraer, and drove East for a couple of hours, we could go the next stretch (3-4 hours?) together!
I think separate ones for england/scotland would work. As Don't think the area/distance is much different to a state one in the USA. Depends on how many of us though. PM have you ever been to one? How do all the piggies get along, is it the fact that there is so much space?
Sounds good! The only person who's near to where I live is vics2004 though.
I live in the south east, Essex to be exact! Hemel Hempstead is about 1hour away from here (according to the AA website!)
I haven't been to one yet actually, although I would love to go to a pignic. I'm setting up a couple of play dates with other piggies in my area though, so I guess you could call those mini-pignics. It really is all about the space though. At least in the US, the beginning of autumn weather is going to make this really nice for a few weeks, so I'm looking forward to meeting some people and getting the pigs outside.
It's a lovely idea but as said we are all pretty spread out. However maybe a few peope would be close enough to each other to have a mini pignic!
I wouldn'yt like to have to travel too far with mine in the car, plus I couldn't leave my other pets alone for too long.
