Since I have now revealed mystery Ferry man's identity, I can now tell you that naked man's new name is Captain Jack after John's character on Torchwood but he will always carry the special nickname of "naked man".      |

When you were originally talking about a naked man I was wondering if it was a hairless rat and then I go no. It's just because I have two babies myself. Love your naked man. |

Capt. Jack aka naked man moved into the rattie mansion today with my other boys. The cage got a full cleaning also. I did cut quarantine short but it was for the reason that Capt. Jack was in a tiny, tiny petstore cage with no room for exercise and he seemed quite bored and lonely. He had not been around any new ratties for some time and my guys have no contagious illnesses. I had noticed after I put them in the cage together that Eddie seems to have a problem with his man bits. I think he may have gotten an abscess near his penis that burst and he needs to go to the vet but I will not be able to take him until Thursday because my dad has to go to the VA in Little Rock (2 hours away) for an MRI tomorrow and I have to take my son Jesse to Children's in Little Rock on Wed. for his cardiology appt. I will be taking care of him until I can get him to the vet, he will need ABs most definately. I had been gone for a week then this past week I have had an abscessed tooth and a 5 day continuous headache in conjuntion with the tooth problem so I didn't play with the boys like I normally do. I just feel bad that I didn't notice Eddie's problem a lot sooner. Eddie wasn't too happy with me for cleaning his man bits and the surrounding area. He does not like to lay on his back at all so it was a struggle to clean the area. |

It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that I have to say that Capt. Jack aka naked man has crossed the rainbow bridge. I found him in his favorite hammock this morning. He was not with me long but he had captured my heart in a huge way. He will greatly be missed. I'm sure Popeye was waiting to run and play with him on the other side. |

He hadn't shown any signs of illness. He did have an abscess form and burst just over a week after I brought him home. He was on AB's for a week and the abscess healed wonderfully in a matter of days. I guess it was just his time to go. He was so friendly and loving. He and I bonded rather quickly. He loved to play on my bed and come snuggle under my chin. He was inquisitive, smart and a wonderful companion. |

I'm so sorry about your naked man it's always hard losing a pet no matter how long you've had them, especially if you've bonded. I send lots of healing energy. |
