Ideas for rat fun needed???

Hey there, I have a rat and I have him in a cage that is 38" long by 26" deep by 16" tall. And I was wondering if anyone had Ideas on things I could put in his cage to entertain him. Right now it is just his aspen bedding, food bowl, water bottle, and a corner shelf with a ramp.
Any help would be great!

This site---> http://www.dapper.com.au/toys.htm has loads of toy ideas. You just have to be creative. It took me awhile before I figured out how to entertain my girls.

You can make braided ropes out of old tshirts to climb or take an old pair of jeans and cut off a length of the leg to hang up and make a tunnel.

If you have an old washcloth/t-shirt ect. give it to them, mine LOVE to shred it and hide the pieces in "secret places" they also really like jingle balls, like the ones made for ferrets or cats.

There is a very good rat forum called www.ratrules.com Lots of info about rats with alot of good links. There is a whole section on toys and games for rats.

You can get little igloos that are like minature pigloos and my rats love thiers. They also like little stuffed animals, they like to pull them around their cage.

My rat loves shredding pieces of cardboard and using the pieces to build herself a little hut.
