I have a rabbit and guinea pigs. And personally I favor the piggies. My last bunny was my favorite pet though. But currently guinea pigs take the prize.

There is a House Rabbit Society Chapter in Chicago, please contact them and tell them about the situation. They may be able to guide you through capturing the rabbits, or rescue the rabbits themselves. If you cannot get a hold of them then please contact your local humane society and tell them; those rabbits need rescuing ASAP!

what about your friend who bought them in the first place? can't they catch them and bring them to a shelter, or give them to you or another friend. I am in NH, I wish I was closer.

I've had rabbits before. A couple of them munched on me (one rather hard!) but I think it was because we had a female and 2 males. I had pet one of the males and had its fur on me when I went to pet the other one. So naturally I got bitten.

My rabbits were honestly a lot more interesting than the guinea pigs I have.

more active, more curious, etc.
