i cant tell if this is whaty ou already tried, but i had the same problem! my dwarf would slip right through! i went to home depot and got a roll of wire-y stuff... and its 25 feet long (didnt use it all) 3 feet hugh and has holes about half a cm big. i cut it to the right size and ziptied it very securly all around the outside of the cage. it works great. there is only two drawbacks, you cant stick your finger in to pet their little head real quick to say hello, and you get scratched by the wire unless you cut it reallly good :0 |

You can overlap the grids, effectively making the squares half the size. You can order the mesh grids online if you prefer. |

If you already have the C&C, I had a plasticized mesh, bought as pet-safe door screen, that I bought at walmart. We used to keep it to keep bedding in before we switched to fleece. It is relatively cheap and at least guinea pig proof. (I don't know bunnies, so if someone has chewing info on them, please add or correct me.) |

You could also make a cage using an exercise pen, or two put together. They are pretty spendy in stores but you can often find them on Craigslist at lower prices. |

When we were looking at getting a bunny we looked at using dog pens. Make sure it's at least 3 feet high or you're going to have to find a roof for it (you can use C&Cs and zip tie them to the top if you're worried about it). |

Lowes sells a roll of mesh like wire that is made specifically for building rabbit cages, you could try wrapping that around the grids. |
