I've been looking on the web for a few days now and cannot find the answer to my question... Lately, I've been trying out new treats for my bunny Nubbers. I had some whole wheat bread and gave him a bit. He really seems to like it, but my question is, is it OK for him to eat it? If so, how much is too much? Thanks!

Re: Just wondering... House rabbit society say the following "Absolutely NO chocolate (poisonous!), cookies, crackers, breakfast cereals, bread, pasta, yogurt drops, or other "human treats." There is research to suggest these items may contribute to fatal cases of enterotoxemia, a toxic overgrowth of "bad" bacteria in the intestinal tract." Taken from there website. http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-d...iet/foods.html

Re: Just wondering... I agree, bread is a manmade product, with preservatives and possibly dairy/egg products in it. It's just safer not to. Thanks for asking!
