Here is the delema. I have 2 rabbits Dwarfs.... and one of them is skiddish. When the other goes to play chase, one gets scared, and they sort of figtht. I recently aquired a job at the local vet clinic, and will have plenty of money for new grids. My cage is 4 by 2 by 2 and closed. I have no room to expand it length. Only height. I was thinking that i could attach the top, and build the cage up by 2 grids to separate them. Could someone please give me step by step directions on how to make the second floor so the bottom is sturdy enough to support a 5 pound rowdy rabbit? t can I use for top level flooring? WhaI will buy 2 boxes of grids/ coneectors which is 32 grids, just enough to recreate the bottom, and attach it to the top. I also use zip ties. This is my cage. http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos...hp/photo/11287 the top is flipped open. How can I attach The top? What can I use for flooring? How would i make doors to reach both levels? Thanks so much! |

Ok, here's what I would do. First, zip tie the current top level grids together, if they aren't already and remove the connectors at the top. Buy either a 1-1/4" wooden dowel, or 2" x 2" piece of lumber long enough to run the length of the cage (roughly 58"). Run the dowel or 2" x 2" thru the grid in the top corner of one of the panels (in the center of the cage). Like the one supporting the roof in the picture... |

What do you mean when you say that they "sort of fight"? What are their sexes and are they both spayed/neutered? |
