New Bunny Comming Soon

I am adopting a holland lop. His name is Dallas and we are giving him the middle name Jinx. He is a sweet boy. Very friendly. Not scared of other animals. He is being fostered at my moms house. She said he keeps trying to escape. He is had two bonding sessions with our Teresa and so far it's been good.

We brought Dallas home today. He is now known as Dallas Jinx. Wether or not he and Teresa bond he is home. My husband and I love. We can't
help it.

It's going great!!!!!!!! They are grooming alittle (both). No mounting. Eating with no fighting. He is flopping out....I mean total flop...dead bunny flop. She doesn't flop much. They have been together
an hour and an 40mins. No problems...we are considering letting them stay together. Not tonight but tomorrow maybe.

The pen is right in front of my bed and I am a light sleeper. So if they did fight I would here. Any one on here care to weigh in on this?

Pretty bunnies. When I introduced Jackie to Jamie, it was love at first site for Jamie. They did not fight. I tried to keep them seperated but it did not work. They wanted to be together. They have been inseperable ever since. They eat, sleep, cuddle, clean each other. Jamie is a flopper. I don't panic anymore when I see him looking "dead". Jackie is dainty and wouldn't be caught looking undignified.
It sounds like they will do well together. House Rabbit Society Rabbit Care Guide has tips on getting them to bond. Keep up posted.

Well we put her in her cage last night. Today it is 7am and they are both in the pen. We set it in the living room so they will be next to me all day. He is flopped out, she is doing binkys. As long as they don't fight they stay togther. I am home all day so we'll see.
It's funny...He is flopped out....she will go over nose to nose. He creeps closer....lick.
Look up..."what I did not groom her." "What I didn't groom him!"

Well they are having a major mutual grooming session. I mean it was just awesome...I started crying. I must be such a dork.

Very cute bunnies. I just want to voice a word of caution. Netherlands tend to be a little more territorial. I have had personal experience with Netherlands doing great together for more than two years and then one day coming home to two severely injured rabbits with no apparent cause. I also had a Netherland that had bonded with a fuzzy lop that began over time really hassling the fuzzy lop until a fight ensued. I find that Netherlands in general are harder to house with another rabbit, they have sharp little tempers. Not to say that yours will ever have a problem, just thought I would pass my knowledge on.

awww I am so jealous, we are not allowed bunnies in this state. They are gorgeous and look like they have been mates forever in those pics!
