rabbit on the loose I recently adopted a female rabbit which I named Fluff-a-Nutter. I am so happy with my new baby girl except that when I come home from work she's hopping to the door to meet me rather than inside of her cage. I figured out that she got through the lid, but I don't know how to go about making a bunny safe lid that'll still be easy for me to open and close. Please offer any suggestions that you can because I'm at my whit's end. Also, although this is not really related to the cage thing, but if anyone has a bunny that's a nibbler and has any helpful advice on how to get the bunny to stop biting that would be great as well.

Re: rabbit on the loose Yours nibbles on you? Mine does when he wants me to pay attention to him. I give him a kiss on the nose and pet him and coo and he'll stop. You could try some sour apple/sour pear paste or spray that is sold in petshops. This can also be used to get them to stop from biting other things, such as electric cables, cage bars, etc.

Re: rabbit on the loose Although I've used that for my dog in the past it didn't even occur to me to use sour apple for my rabbit. I'm not sure if it's attention that she wants... she gets so darn much of it. Maybe she's spoiled... much like my other pets.
