How long will 2.5 lbs of hay last for one guinea pig on average? It is not being used for bedding, just for it to eat.

It depends on how you feed it to your guinea pig. If you use a hayrack it will last longer because it won't wee on any of it. On the other hand pigs love lounging in hay and tend to eat more (which is very good for their teeth) when it's served so they can eat it from the ground. If makes sense too if you look at where a piggy's mouth is, they were made to graze off the ground.

Your hay will probably last about a month. My two GPs go through 4-6 pounds per month, and it's only for them to feed on, not play in.
