Discussions of politics and religion are not welcome on the
Cavy Cages Forum. Our purpose as a forum is
cavy-centered and animal-rights-centered. These issues are basically separate from any political leaning or religious affiliation, and our members and moderators span a wide variety of both.
We've seen a great many debates about politics and religion on other forums degenerate into vicious insults, without any thoughtful discussion to be found. Religion and politics are two topics that especially lead to this kind of nasty argument, and in the interests of preventing divisiveness among those who should be united to help
cavies and other animals live better lives, we request that these topics be avoided on this forum.
The only exception is that members may discuss animal-rights issues, for example:
- Bills or laws pertaining to animal rights
- Elected officials or candidates and their track records on animal rights
- Petitions or "call your representative" recommendations about animal rights
- Government entities, such as Animal Control, that have a bearing on animal rights
Other than this one exception, religious and political discussion is not allowed on
Cavy Cages Forum. If you see posts containing questionable religious or political material, please report them so the moderators know and can handle it. And if you want to discuss politics or religion, there are TONS of other forums that will be happy to accommodate you.
