Is this possible?
Right now, we have three boars and two sows in the house. They live in separate cages in separate rooms. Lately, one of the sows has begun to look pregnant--firm belly, round sides, etc. Now, these pigs have never even "met" each other. The only contact that they've ever had is this: sometimes, when I clean the boars' cage, I put them in the girls' cage while the girls are outside in their hutch. Is it somehow possible that the girls could have gotten pregnant from that kind of contact? It's seems like a long shot, but now I'm a little concerned that the little girl is somehow pregnant.

Re: Is this possible?
Uh, no. It's not possible. If she's pregnant, it's because she has "met" one of the boars.
Other possible causes of a growing belly include ovarian cysts. That's often accompanied by hair loss on the sides of the pig -- I don't know if it always is.
Weigh both sows daily for a while (same time of day, preferably before a meal), and see if she's gaining faster than the other one. If she is pregnant, a couple of weeks before the birth you should be able to feel the pups kicking inside. A vet visit might ease your mind about what it is, but it would likely take an ultrasound to diagose is, unless she really is pregnant and nearly ready to deliver.

That's what I thought. Guess I'll have to find a guinea pig vet in this area
