Cute! I love the crest on her head. I've got her almost-twin, except without the crest. And the babies-to-be, thank goodness.

Thank you! Yes. I wonder if the babies will have the crest. Cannot wait for the babies. Hope they are all healthy.

Oh wow, when do you estimate that Charlotte will deliver ? How many babies do you feel in there ?
My girl Buttercup has a Crest too, and I just love it ! Especially right after she washes her face, she has this semi wet, "mousse hair" type look, and it is so cute !

I've always heard crested guinea pigs being called the "royalty" of guinea pigs because they wear a "crown." I'm looking forward to seeing photos of the babies.. Good luck.

Aww she is so cute. I agree crests are very cute and it does look like they are wearing a little crown. I hope all the babies are healthy and post some pictures when they are born!

Thank you. I'm thinking any day now. I'm not sure how many babies. I'm guessing at least three.

Thanks Suzi! Glad to know someone is listening to me!
I think her pelvic bones have widened. I hope that means any day now. The poor thing. And she lays there sometimes with her back legs spread out behind her. She looks so uncomfortable. I will definately post pics when the babies finally come!

Re: Pics of my pregnant Charlotte
How do you feel the babies? I had two pregnant girls(LOL, one of them is named Charlotte!!!) and Charlotte's just had hers on the 21st. I did not expect her to have babies, she's just so small and didn't look pregnant at all. Beatrice, my other suspected pregnant girl is pretty huge, but she is also an Abyssinian so I don't really know her exact size by looking at her. I tried smoothing her fur down to see and she is giant! She is showing signs of pregnancy. She's drinking tons of water and being quite rude. I tried to feel her pelvic bone but it seems pretty solid. I just don't know what to look/feel for! Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Pics of my pregnant Charlotte
Well when I first felt them I just sat her on my lap and kept my hands on both sides of her belly and I could feel movement. As far as the pelvic bones, I learned on here to feel from her spine all the way down to the rear and there may be a separation there. Let me know!

Re: Pics of my pregnant Charlotte
I was taught to feel the under parts of her for her pelvic bone seperating. If you put a little pressure right above her private area you can feel the bone and if its seperating you can fit a finger between the bone. It's kind of hard to keep a piggie still in this position so I always bribed my Charlie with carrots.

Re: Pics of my pregnant Charlotte
I remember when my Chloe was pregnant I would check her pelvic bone every day and when I was home I would check like every hour. After a while I got tired of watching her to see if she was going into birth and then one morning I woke up early and was laying there and heard this weird squeaking from her. Soon I realized that she was going into labour and I got up and watched her. She did great with the birth, she didnt need any help from me to clean them off. I did notice that about a week before they were born she had a limp in her left back leg but about a day after the birth she was walking normal. It's so amazing how these animals have not been taught anything but when that day comes they just automatically get straight to business. I often think about the babies and how good of a mother Chloe was. I will pray that your Charlotte's babies come out soon and healthy. Good luck waiting.

Re: Pics of my pregnant Charlotte
I wish I could do that and not think about when the babies are coming.
Since I adopted her and she was pregnant, I don't know when she was bred. I was getting a little worried this morning so I let her crawl into a box so I could feel the babies. They are still moving around, but they seemed a little cramped in there now. So I guess any time now. Yeah right! That's what I said two weeks ago. I so hope she will be okay having these babies. I can't wait till I can hold her and cuddle her. Poor thing.
